Determining if multiparity, maternal anemia, a history of maternal hypertension, polyhydramnios, multiple products and maternal age are associated with a high risk to develop prematurity in the Neonatology Service of Hospital II-2 Santa Rosa Piura. MATERIAL AND METHOD: Cross-sectional, retrospective study with the use of secondary data through the use of clinical records of preterm infants from the Neonatology Service of Hospital II-2 Santa Rosa Piura, the development of both descriptive and analytical statistics with significance was applied. of p<0.05. RESULTS: With a total of 235 records; Of which, the average age for the mother was 24.52 years and the age range with the greatest presence was 18 to 25 years; in 157 of the records, it was found between 34 and 35 weeks in terms of completed gestational age. The presence of maternal anemia with 157 records – 66.81% was the maternal history with the highest records detected and an association process was evidenced with the presence/history of multiple products (p:0.002) for preterm infants <34 weeks and for late preterm infants (p :0.046). The multivariate analysis found a significant association with the development of prematurity in variables such as Maternal Age, Multiparity, Maternal Anemia, Multiple products for prematurity in general. CONCLUSIONS: There is an association between maternal clinical factors such as: multiparity, maternal anemia, multiple products and maternal age with the development of prematurity in the Neonatology Service of Hospital II-2 Santa Rosa Piura in both late preterm infants. as in those with a gestational age less than 34 weeks.
