The main purpose of this research is to identify the structural design of the pavement applying the AASHTO-93 methodology, on San Juan Bosco Street, Buenos Aires Avenue and the Malecón Huamán de los Heros in the city of Sullana. These roads, despite being very busy roads, are in poor condition, presenting different faults in their existing pavement, as is the case on Buenos Aires Avenue and the Malecón Huamán de los Heros, unlike San Juan Bosco Street. which does not have a paved road. As a result of these problems, they could generate various discomforts in the population as a result of the waiting time to go from one place to another and a poor distribution that affects vehicular circulation. For this project, we have chosen to use the AASHTO 93 methodology, in conjunction with the current regulations for urban roads in Peru. Consequently, topographic studies were carried out to obtain an accurate survey of the terrain in the area. In addition, excavations of pits were carried out in order to extract samples for subsequent analysis in the laboratory, with the objective of obtaining results on the mechanical characteristics of the soil for paving purposes, obtaining as results a CBR of 16.7% for San Juan Street. Bosco, for the Malecón Huamán de los Heros a CBR of 22.4% and finally for Av. Buenos Aires a CBR of 18.2%; Subsequently, the traffic study was continued in which different in situ data necessary for the subsequent calculation of the design ESAL were collected, in which an ESAL of 676,562.37 for flexible and articulated pavements and an ESAL of 729,799.24 for rigid pavements was obtained. of San Juan Bosco Street, an ESAL of 321,934.64 for flexible and articulated pavements and an ESAL of 327,416.12 for rigid pavements, data corresponding to the Malecón Huamán de los Heros, finally for Av. Buenos Aires we have an ESAL of 6’236,959.31for flexible and articulated pavements and an ESAL of 6’381,418.83 for rigid pavements; After completing all our preliminary studies, we have proceeded with the determination of the design parameters, obtaining the final design results of the x thicknesses of the layers, which make up the structural package for the 3 study paths, subsequently carrying out a comparative analysis indicating that type of pavement is the most economical and has the longest useful life
