To determine the effectiveness of the four sutures technique compared to the hook plate in acromioclavicular dislocation in patients of the Víctor Lazarte Echegaray Hospital from 2014 - 2018. Material and methods: A retrospective cohort study was conducted in which 38 patients with acromioclavicular dislocation were included, according to selection criteria which were divided into 2 groups: patients exposed to 4 sutures technique or plate hook technique; applying the relative risk, and the chi-square statistical test. Results: The four sutures technique is superior to the hook plate technique in terms of the degree of shoulder functionality expressed in the Quick Dash assessment in patients exposed to acromioclavicular dislocation (p <0.05). The four sutures technique is superior to the hook plate technique in terms of the frequency of late morbidity in patients exposed to acromioclavicular dislocation (p <0.05). Conclusion: The four sutures technique is more effective compared to the hook plate in acromioclavicular dislocation in patients of the Víctor Lazarte Echegaray Hospital from 2014 - 2018
