To determine the factors associated with favorable perception of medical students regarding the social accountability of the UPAO School of Medicine. Materials and Methods: A cross-sectional study was conducted among 345 students enrolled for the semester 2023-20, using a virtual survey based on IFMSA/The NET Social Accountability Assessment in Spanish. Central measures were calculated for the 12 evaluated items. Factors such as academic year, sex, age, and membership in student organizations were analyzed using chi-square and Fisher tests, with statistical significance set at p < 0.05. Results: 59.1% of students had a favorable perception of the school's social accountability. Younger age (p=0.008), membership in student organizations (p<0.001), and being in a clinical academic year (p<0.001) were significantly associated with a more favorable perception. Conclusion: Age, academic years, and membership in student organizations are significantly associated with favorable perception of social accountability, while sex showed no association
