Objective: Determine if there is a relationship between muscle pain and wear facets in adult patients Material and Method: The present study is prospective, cross-sectional, descriptive and observational, with a sample of 197 adult patients who passed through the triage area of the Florencia de Mora Medical Specialties Center-UPAO 2023 and agreed to be part of the study. They were evaluated with a data collection form through direct observation and clinical examination. The data obtained were analyzed with the help of computer programs that are Microsoft Excel and SPSS v. 26. The Chi square statistical test was applied with a significance level of 0.05. Results: The results showed that of a total of 197 adult patients evaluated, of which there were 135 women and 62 men, the results were that 39 adults (19.8%) presented muscle discomfort and have a grade 1 facet of wear, there is a predominance of muscle pain and wear facets in the female sex, the group most affected by the wear facets and local muscle pain was between 40-50 years old with a total of 110 people, 77 adults (39.1%) have muscle discomfort and present grade 1 facets according to their classification (p = 0.000 < 0.05) Conclusions: It is concluded that there is a relationship between muscle pain and wear facets in adult patients
