Objectives: To determine the Factors associated with pre term birth in pregnant teenagers of the Jose Cayetano Heredia Hospital from June to December 2018. Material and Methods: The following work is an observational, analytical, retrospective study of cases and controls was carried out. The sample consisted of a total of 200 clinical records of adolescent puerperal patients, of which 100 were clinical records of adolescent puerperal women that ended their pregnancy in preterm delivery, and 100 clinical records of puerperal adolescents who completed their term gestation attended in the obstetrics service of Hospital III José Cayetano Heredia, during the period June to December 2018. Odds ratio calculation and Chi square test were performed. Results: It was found that the variables previous abortion (OR: 3.3), premature rupture of membranes (OR: 2.6), preeclampsia (OR: 2.3), placenta preview (OR: 2.1), anemia (OR: 2.1), and the inadequate prenatal control (OR: 1.6) were significantly associated with preterm birth in pregnant adolescents. No significant association was found with the variables urinary tract infection, cervicovaginitis, antepartum of preterm delivery, gestational diabetes, placental abruption, number of parity, habit and / or consumption of toxics. Conclusions: It is concluded that prior abortion, premature rupture of membranes, preeclampsia, placenta previa, anemia and inadequate prenatal control are risk factors associated with preterm delivery in adolescent pregnant women at Hospital José Cayetano Heredia during the period June - December 2018.
