This thesis has been developed in order to reduce the inventory costs through a stock management system design in the company GASES DEL PACIFICO SAC, a natural gas distribution company, which began its mass operations in 2016 in several cities with headquarters in the city of Trujillo. The objective was to demonstrate how the stock management system reduces the cost of inventory in the company's natural gas massification project. The problem that was investigated is, To what extent does the stock management system proposal reduce inventory costs in the company's natural gas massification project? The hypothesis is that yes, stock management system will be implemented, would significantly reduce inventory costs in the company's natural gas massification project. The methodology used is applied with an explanatory level, the research design is pre-experimental, the study population was all SKUs with their respective stock from the company's general warehouse, the observed sample was the 9 SKUs, which belong to Class A of the ABC system, which represent 79.84% of the inventory value, the research techniques and instruments used were interview, field observation and documentary analysis. The most important and transcendental results were to have reduced inventory costs, through a stock management system, calculating the inventory costs of the materials with the highest turnover based on the predicted demand for materials according to the requirements of the construction area, an EOQ stock management system was applied according to the demand for materials and a supply plan was drawn up, the savings were determined with the application of the stock management system. The most important and relevant conclusions being that the stock management system had a positive impact on inventory costs, with the proposed model they decreased by S / 1,547,421.33, equivalent to 19.26% of the total cost.
