The objective of this study was to identify the bacteria that cause subclinical mastitis in dairy cattle in the district of Huanchaco, province of Trujillo; For this purpose, a population of 131 cows belonging to stables in the Huanchaco district was evaluated; of which milk samples were taken from the quarters positive for subclinical mastitis, obtaining 144 milk samples positive for subclinical mastitis; These were taken to the Veterinary Medicine and Zootechnics laboratory of the Antenor Orrego Private University, to perform bacteriological cultures and biochemical tests, in order to identify the bacterial specificity. The results showed that 90.97% (131/144) of the samples had bacterial growth, 5.55% (8/144) had fungal growth, and 3% (5/144) had no growth. In the bacterial growth samples, the frequency of Staphylococcus sp. with 20.61% (27/131), Escherichia coli 16.3% (21/144), followed by Staphylococcus aureus 14.50% (19/131); Likewise, a predisposition was found for the right 32% (42/131) and 29% (38/131) left hindquarters to be the most affected. On the other hand, the results obtained allow us to conclude that in the district of Huanchaco the The percentage of environmental bacteria was higher with 54.20%
