The main objective of this research work was to determine the relationship that exists between communication strategies and the preventive culture of the workers of Cartavio S.A.A. in the context of a COVID -19 pandemic. In this line, the applied methodology was quantitative and descriptive-correlational level. To carry out this research, the survey was used as a research technique and the questionnaire as an instrument, applied to a sample of 282 workers belonging to the different managements that make up the sugar factory Cartavio S.A.A. The results show that the level of assessment of the communication strategies implemented by the sugar factory during the pandemic is efficient, due to the participation of leaders in the promotion, control and prevention of COVID-19 in their work area; an adequate construction of messages and use of informative channels. Likewise, the level of efficient preventive culture of the workers is demonstrated through the procedures and policies implemented by the sugar factory in order to provide a safe workplace to mitigate the possibility of contagion risk by SARS-CoV-2, which will improve adoption. of safety and health behaviors at work. The positive mean correlation of communication strategies and the dimensions of preventive culture: knowledge, attitudes and practices, is explained by the dissemination of information that contribute to making informed decisions, by the usefulness of the communication leaders' discourse and in workers' beliefs about the effectiveness of prevention measures in their environment; in the same way, the moderate practice is given by the existence of external factors, narratives and ingrained barriers in each worker. Finally, it is concluded that there is a statistically significant, average and directly proportional linear relationship between the communication strategies and the preventive culture of the Cartavio SAA workers, as demonstrated by the Spearman correlation test, a coefficient of 0.483 and a Significance value less than 0.05 (0.000), with which the hypothesis of the present investigation is verified and the null hypothesis is rejected.
