The research thesis aims to analysis and evaluation of pavements in the sector Rio Seco from El Porvenir district, to determine failures presented because of the coastal child phenomenon, applying the method of PCI. This method determines the index of condition of pavements. This is listed as one of the most complete for the surface evaluation paving and is published by the ASTM as method of analysis and application, the presented work was carried out according to the Manual PCI engineer Vásquez Verela Luis and the standard ASTM D6433-07. For surface evaluation was elected to 5 routes most affected by the natural phenomenon. For reliable results, it collected information in accordance with the specifications of the rules mentioned above. Surfaces of runway failures relapse were: longitudinal and transverse, hollow, crack detachment of aggregates and patches. After the Cabinet data processing was determined as follows: - The pavement condition index (PCI) of the Hipólito Unanue Avenue is VERY GOOD with a range of qualification of 73,38. - The pavement condition index (PCI) of the Gonzales Prada street is VERY BAD with a range of qualification of 22.22. - The pavement condition index (PCI) of the José Crespo y Castillo street is BAD with a range of qualification of 39,73 - The pavement condition index (PCI) of the Tomas Moscoso street is VERY GOOD with a range of qualification of 72,14. - The pavement condition index (PCI) of the Atahualpa street is VERY GOOD with a range of qualification of 77,60. Under these results, has been raised several solutions to rehabilitate these pathways, as well as securing a suitable pittsburgh and walkability to its users. Such propositions are embedded within the development of the thesis.
