The general objective of this research was to determine how the application of collection policies impacts the tax collection of the District Municipality of Florencia de Mora, 2019. The design of this research was of a pre-experimental type where it was compared the collection of taxes before and after the application of collection policies. The population was made up of 180 reports from January to May 2019 in the Municipal Revenue Sub-office, where the documentary analysis was applied, a census sample was used, which was constituted by the reports of tax collection, delinquency, accounts by charge, debts in collection, that emits the income sub-management. Likewise, a record sheet was prepared to collect the information. The data was organized in data record sheets - Excel for its best presentation. The result was that when applying the growth rate test and comparing the collection of the period from January to May 2018 with collection applying the collection policies for the period from January to May 2019, there is a positive impact between both variables, obtaining a Percentage variation of 63.99% in the property tax, 9.16% in the alcabala tax, 96.43% in public cleaning taxes and 96.49% in parks and gardens taxes, which indicates that the application of collections policies has a positive impact in the tax collection of the District Municipality of Florencia de Mora.
