This investigation had as main objective to determine the relationship among the use of TICs and the development of digital skills in students of the computing and informatics career from “Víctor Raúl Haya de la Torre” Pedagogical Institute - Santiago de Chuco 2020 ; which is a quantitative method, of a non-experimental type, of correlational descriptive design, with a population of 81 students, and a sample of 47 which belong to a non-probabilistic sampling; using “the survey” as a technique and “the questionnaire” as an instrument; obtaining as a result that the use of TICs had an average level with 38%, and the regular level of digital skills with 53%. Concluding that there is a relationship among the use of TICs and digital skills in students of computing and informatics specialty of the Pedagogical Institute “Víctor Raúl Haya de la Torre“ of Santiago de Chuco, with a very high positive Rho de Spearman coefficient of 0.902; corroborating with the contrasting hypothesis which obtained a Chi square value of 61.425 with a value of p = 0.000, at a significance level of 5%.
