This cross-sectional descriptive type of cross-sectional investigation was carried out with the objective of determining the relationship between sociodemographic factors and the perception of postpartum women on humanized care provided by the nurse at the Hospital Belén de Trujillo in 2019. The sample it was conformed by 69 puerperal women; to whom two questionnaires were applied, one on sociodemographic factors and the second related to the perception of the puerperal women on the humanized care provided by the nurse, created by Morales F., Hernández M., Morales and Landeros which was modified by Cueva K. and Peláez F., validated by expert judgment. The results were: 13% of the puerperal women were aged between 15 and 17 years old, 51% between 18 and 29 years old and 36% between 30 and 42 years old. Regarding the degree of instruction, 7% without instruction, 30% had primary education, 45% secondary education and 17% higher education. Likewise, 68% comes from the Coast, 22% from the Sierra and 10% from the Forest. With respect to the perception of the puerperal women about the humanized care provided by the nurse, it is appreciated that 1% never perceived humanized care, 51% sometimes and 48% always. It is concluded that there is no significant relationship between the sociodemographic factors: age, degree of instruction, place of origin and the perception of postpartum women on the humanized care provided by the nurse (age p = 1.079, degree of instruction p = 3.013, place of provenance p = 2.336).
