Objective: To determine whether there is a relationship between chronological age and dental maturation of the central incisors and first molars, according to Nolla's stages in panoramic radiographic images of patients aged 5 to 11 years seen in the Radiology Service of the UPAO Dental Centre during the period 2016 - 2023, Trujillo. Material and methods: Retrospective and observational study. We evaluated 225 panoramic radiographic images of patients between 5 and 11 years of age seen at the UPAO radiology service; a data collection form was used using the method proposed by Nolla, who classifies dental development into 11 stages, and the dental maturation and chronological age of the central incisors and first molars in this population were determined. The chi-square statistical test was used to analyse the results. Results: There is a significant relationship between chronological age and dental maturation of central incisors and first molars in children aged 5-11 years (p=0.00). The mandibular central incisor had the highest degree of dental development in boys and in girls it was the mandibular first molar. In the male sex there is a strong positive correlation (r=0.95) between the two variables, compared to the female sex. Conclusions: If there is a relationship between chronological age and dental maturation of the central incisors and first molars according to the Nolla method, in panoramic radiographic images of patients between 5 and 11 years of age from the UPAO radiology service
