Identify the factors associated with the level of knowledge of first aid in Bus Drivers of the Public Service companies of the city of Piura in the year 2022. Methodology: It is an observational, cross-sectional and analytical study in which a questionnaire was applied to identify the associated factors and the level of knowledge of first aid in public service bus drivers in Piura, classifying it into three levels: high, medium and low; and based on this, the relationship with the associated factors was established. Finally, we proceeded to observe the contents of the first aid kit of the public service buses. Results: 249 drivers from a total of 6 bus companies in the city of Piura were included in the study, with an average age of 43.7 years. Regarding the level of knowledge of first aid, 30.5% of drivers show a high level of knowledge, 25.3% show a medium level and 44.2% show a low level. It was found that the knowledge received in the driving school shows a significant association (Sig.<0.01) with the knowledge in first aid with an OR=16.4, (CI: 95%, 4.4 – 61.0). Likewise, training on this aspect by the company is another factor significantly associated (Sig.<0.01) with knowledge of first aid with an OR=153.3 (CI: 95%, 25.1 – 935.5) compared to those who did not received such training. Conclusion: El nivel de conocimiento de los conductores es bajo en la mayoría de los participantes y un Nivel alto de conocimientos está fuertemente asociado a capacitación sobre primeros auxilios por parte de la empresa.
