Funcionalidad familiar y autoestima en estudiantes del nivel secundario de una Institución Educativa Nacional de Trujillo

Abstract

Se efectúo una investigación cuyo fin es determinar la relación existente entre la funcionalidad familiar y autoestima en estudiantes del nivel secundario de una Institución educativa Nacional de Trujillo. Es preciso mencionar que esta investigación es de tipo sustantiva cuyo diseño es Descriptivo correlacional. Para la evaluación, se utilizó la Escala de Evolución de Cohesión y Adaptabilidad Familiar FACES III y la Escala de Autoestima de Rosenberg (EAR). Para ello se manejó una muestra de 121 estudiantes del 5to año del nivel secundaria de un colegio Nacional ubicado en Trujillo, dichos alumnos son de ambos géneros con edad de entre 15 y 18 años con matrícula vigente en el 2022. Como resultado de la investigación, se halló que hay relación altamente significativa (rho=.324; p<.01) directa y con tamaño de efecto medio entre funcionalidad familiar y autoestima en los estudiantes. Por otro lado, también se encontró una correlación altamente significativa (p<.01) directa y en grado medio entre la autoestima y las dimensiones cohesión (rho=.337) y adaptabilidad (rho=.265) de la funcionalidad familiar

An investigation was carried out whose purpose is to determine the relationship between family functionality and self-esteem in secondary level students of a National Educational Institution of Trujillo. It is necessary to mention that this research is of a substantive type whose design is descriptive correlational. For the evaluation, the FACES III Family Cohesion and Adaptability Evolution Scale and the Rosenberg Self-Esteem Scale (EAR) were used. For this, a sample of 121 students of the 5th year of the secondary level of a national school located in Trujillo was managed, these students are of both genders with an age between 15 and 18 years old with current enrollment in 2022. As a result of the investigation, it was found that there is a highly significant relationship (rho=.324; p<.01) direct and with a medium effect size between family functionality and self-esteem in students. On the other hand, a highly significant (p<.01) direct and medium degree correlation was also found between self-esteem and the cohesion (rho=.337) and adaptability (rho=.265) dimensions of family functionality.
