This research sought to analyze and describe the characteristics of form and substance of digital content on gender violence in the digital media Ojo Público and the digital website of La República. For this purpose, a non-experimental research design with a mixed hermeneutic approach was used. The study population consisted of journalistic content on gender violence between January and July 2022, which consisted of 18 news articles in Ojo Público and 124 news articles in La República, comprising a total of 142 news articles. This established a non-probabilistic sample by convenience, including 50% of the total population; that is, 67 pieces of content. The results obtained in this research described the way in which the features of cyberjournalism and SEO editorial guidelines, the informative agenda, diversification in the use of journalism genres and subgenres; and informative policies with gender, human rights, and intersectionality approaches have been included in the news. The conclusion showed that there is a correspondence between the aspects of form and substance in the contents discussed since it is necessary that both are combined to achieve a correct presentation of the news on gender-based violence, with a cross-cutting and human rights approach.
