The present research work aims to determine the relationship between Family Functionality and Social Skills in high school students from a national educational institution in El Porvenir. His research design is substantive correlational, with 127 students, of both sexes, participating in the fifth year of secondary school. We worked with the Family Adaptability and Cohesion Assessment Scale - FACES III by David Olson, Joyce Portner and Joav Leves (1985) and the Social Skills Scale by Elena Gismero Gonzales. According to the results found, they indicate that the predominant level of family cohesion is the disaggregated type of family with 36.2%. Likewise, the predominant level of the family adaptability dimension is the flexible type with 36.2%; Regarding the levels of social skills, the average range prevails with 40.2%, followed by the high level with 35.4% and finally the low level with 24.4%. Therefore, it is concluded, according to the spearman correlation test, that there is no significant correlation (p <.05) between family functionality with social skills
