conocimiento regular, 3% bueno y malo respectivamente.
To determine the level of knowledge about oral hygiene habits in students of the Educational Institution “San Simón” Amazonas-2020. MATERIAL AND METHODS: A descriptive, cross-sectional, prospective, prolective observational study was carried out, consisting of 72 students. The level of knowledge was determined through a virtual survey which consisted of 16 questions. For the statiscal analysis, it was carried out through measures of central tendency( means) and dispertion (standard deviation), frequencies and the X 2 test. It was correlated with the Sperman test with a confidence level of 95% RESULTS: The level of knowledge about oral hygiene habits of the students of the Educational Institution “San Simón” Amazonas, 2020 was of a regular level with an average of 9.56 ± 1.56. 94% had a regular level of knowledge, 3% good and bad respectively. According to the degree of studies, an average of 10.45 ± 1.57 was observed in 1st grade, 9.00 ± 1.31 in 2nd grade, 9.47 ± 1.64 in 3rd grade, 9.50 ± 1.59 in 4th grade and 9.41 ± 1.47 in 5th grade presenting a regular level of knowledge . Students were mostly at the regular level, with 14% in 1st grade, 11% in 2nd grade, 19% in 3rd grade, 21% in 4th grade and 29% in 5th grade, no significant difference was observed between the groups ( p = 0.301). Regarding gender, an average of 9.88 ± 1.71 was observed in women and 9.07 ± 1.19 in men, being at a regular level of knowledge. Likewise, 54% of the women presented a higher percentage of knowledge about oral hygiene habits; while in men only 40% were found at a regular level, respectively. Observing significant difference between the groups according to gender (p = 0.004 <0.05). CONCLUSIONS: The level of knowledge about oral hygiene of the students of the educational institution ““San Simón““ of Ocallí, Amazonas in 2020 was regular; There was no significant difference with reference to the degree of studies, but there was a significant difference with respect to gender, which refers to the fact that female students presented a better level of knowledge about oral hygiene habits in 2020
