This thesis at the engineering level deals with the Planning and design of the drinking water system in the peripheral zone of the urban area of Cascas, Gran Chimú - La Libertad province, allows us to provide a solution to a deficient supply of drinking water, depriving the population to satisfy their most basic needs. Conduction Line (Catchment - PTAP), is currently concluded, lacking the respective connections in the catchment area. PTAP Impulse Line - Reservoir has PVC pipe 160 mm ISO 1452, and which has been operating since April 2016, which due to the intense rains and the extraordinary floods of the Rio de Cascas and Chimbiles stream, has been partially affected in a total approx. Of 200 m in different sections caused by the so-called El Niño Costero Phenomenon: Adduction Line is installed with PVC pipe 110 mm ISO 1452, it has been partially affected in an approximate of 50 m in different sections being the following: Water Distribution Network is not enough to supply the entire peripheral. Drinking Water Treatment Plant - PTAP, component includes: This component is executed at approximately 86%. All the hydraulic structures of the project have been completed, lacking the placement of the filter bed (this special filter material must be placed at the beginning of the operation of the plant, to avoid contamination from external agents); Likewise, the interconnections with pipes between hydraulic structures are lacking. This PTAP, despite its proximity to the Cascas River and as a result of the strong avenues that arose, is currently in perfect structural condition, since the retaining wall built for this PTAP works efficiently as a protection structure for said plant; It is also appropriate to mention that by technical criteria a buffer strip was left for future floods of the Cascas River of approximately 5 m. wide throughout the length of the border with said river.
