In the present research work entitled ““Evaluation of the serviceability index of the flexible pavement on the Costanera highway located in Huanchaco between Avenida Circunvalación and Km 8 + 058““ has as its main objective to evaluate the serviceability index of the flexible pavement on the highway in question. It is important to know that to evaluate the serviceability index we will use the Pavement Condition Index method in order to detail the state of the pavement and to be able to provide the solution you need. Thus, when conducting the on-site inspection, we verify that it has 72 sampling units and an approximate of 671 pathologies, so according to the manual it specifies that there are 13 units to estimate. Likewise, we verified that the most predominant pathologies are Holes with 33%, Crocodile Skin with 20% and Longitudinal and Transverse Cracks with 19% in the entire road section. Also, performing the corrected deduced values for each sample unit resulted in a quantitative value of 12, that is, a ““Very Bad““ rating. Finally, we see that the current serviceability condition is very bad, so we recommend carrying out a structural design on the entire road in order to improve serviceability and preserve the road system of our country as it is a symbol of development and growth
