The research titled “Road design alternatives to reduce traffic congestion using Vissim software, North Roundabout of Chocope, Ascope District, La Libertad Department” had the purpose of determining road design alternatives to reduce traffic congestion using Vissim software, North Rotunda of Chocope, Ascope District, La Libertad Department. The methodology was applied, descriptive level and non-experimental in design. Where as a result of the topographic survey, contour lines between 116 meters above sea level and 118 meters above sea level, an IMDA of 4062 vehicles were obtained, three proposed alternatives, the most optimal of which is the overpass that connects with Avenida Panamericana Avenue, these They have two lanes of 3.60 m each, making a road of 7.20 m. Likewise, this passage is one-way, below it has a roundabout with a radius of 44.56 m and an inscribed circle of 112.24 m. It is concluded that the most significant road design alternative is the overpass because it reduces vehicular traffic by 33.78%
