The tesis titled “COMPARATIVE ANALYSIS BETWEEN THE SEPTIC TANK METHOD AND THE ECOLOGICAL BATHS METHOD WITH BIODIGESTERS FOR THE IMPROVEMENT OF THE SEWAGE TREATMENT IN THE SANTA APOLONIA HOMESTEAD, JULCÁN DISTRICT, PROVINCE OF JULCÁN – LA LIBERTAD”, was developed under the Sanitation reasearch, topografic data were processed and análisis and design of structures aligning them with current regulations. Those results allowed to identify that the most optimal method for the local situation is the Ecological Baths Method with Biodigesters because it generates les enviromental impact and reducing the cost of installation. It will also improve the quality life of the habitants. For the main sewage system of the Septic Tank Method, 99 manholes were designed, 4,190.80 ml of PVC NTP ISO 4435 S-25 pipes with a diameter of 160 mm will be installed. The installation of 1,700.00 ml of PVC NTP ISO 4435 S-25 DN 100 mm type pipe for 85 household connections is also considered. The construction of a septic tank with two chambers and five percolation wells with a volume of 17.67m3 each will allow the correct operation of the system. The total cost of the project amounts to S / 2,902,738.32 in an execution time of 120 calendar days. For the design of ecological baths with biodigesters, 85 houses with their respective Basic Sanitation Units were considered, to which 85 self-cleaning 600-liter biodigesters of the Rotoplast brand and their respective components will be installed. The total amount of the project is S / 1,011,685.73, executed in 90 calendar days
