The objective of this research was to determine the perception and attitude of the students about their permanence in the professional school. Private University Antenor Orrego, 2018. The design was descriptive, carried out in 111 students of the professional obstetricia school of the Private University Antenor Orrego, during the 2018-1 semester. The technique of data collection was through a survey. The results found were. Of the students, 59.5% of the students have a negative perception regarding their permanence in the professional school of obstetricia. In attitude it was the opposite, 61.3% presented a positive attitude about their permanence in the professional school of Obstetricia. Conclusions: The students have a negative perception and a positive attitude about their permanence in the professional school of Obstetricia. The reason that determines the negative perception is, the highest percentage of students agree that obstetrics was not their first choice of study. With regard to the reason that determines the positive attitude is, the highest percentage of students agree that if they fail a subject they will continue studying, existing therefore difference between Perception and Attitude. The research is based on the one-dimensional model.
