In recent years the software industry has become very important for the economies of the countries, such growth brings with it the need to develop methodologies focused on processes. CMMI, ISO 9001: 2000, MoProSoft, MPS.BR, COMPETISOFT and others are the main reference models for the improvement of software industry processes and identification of maturity. The following thesis: ““MODEL TO EVALUATE THE MATURITY OF TRUJILLO SOFTWARE DEVELOPMENT SMALLS““ developed by Bachelors: Frank Hurtado Rodríguez and María Fernanda Valverde Mariños, proposes a new evaluation model (survey) to identify the maturity of the process of Software Development in SMEs in the city of Trujillo, based on the framework COMPETISOFT and MOPROSOFT. The implementation of this new evaluation model was executed in 3 SMEs of Trujillo, which are dedicated to the development of technological solutions tailored or packaged, where we were able to visualize the situation in which it was, and to be able to define the different problems That they had regarding poor management of requirements, and the inefficient use of different methodologies for project management and software development. In conclusion, we were able to apply the new adapted maturity evaluation model, and this allowed us to know the maturity level of the Trujillo software development SMEs evaluated in this thesis, resulting in 2 of these SMEs reaching maturity level 2 And the other SME reaches level 3 maturity, and thus to be able to define specific recommendations for each one of them.
