Objective: To determine the predictive validity of the stress test for neonatal asphyxia in term gestation with oligohydramnios. Methods: An analytical, observational, retrospective, cross-sectional study of diagnostic tests was carried out to determine the sensitivity, specificity, predictive values and likelihood ratios of the stress test to predict asphyxia in newborns, for which 153 clinical records of pregnancies were included. at term with oligohydramnios treated at the Regional Teaching Hospital of Trujillo between 20142017. Results: The prevalence of neonatal asphyxia in term gestation with oligohydramnios was 13.41%. The predictive validity of the stress test has a sensitivity of 81.81%, specificity of 94.65%, PPV of 72%, NPV of 96.87%, CPP of 15.29 and NPC of 19.21. Conclusion: The stressful test has high predictive validity in the diagnosis of neonatal asphyxia in pregnancy with oligohydramnios.
