The city of Ascope capital of the province of the same name, is located 59 km from the city of Trujillo at an altitude of 238 m.s.n.m. The east side of the city is close to hills where ravines can be seen coming to the city. On the south side, an earth channel has been built that functions as a dump of runoff water from the ravines near the city that flow into the Chicama River. Due to the erosive action of the area and the streams that descend, they give it a moving bed, presenting clogged trawl material. Areas exposed to flooding were identified by maximum avenues, which could cause considerable losses to the inhabitants of the area, such as what occurred in the phenomenon of ““El Niño““ in the year of 1998 and 2017; that is why the present thesis was made: ““HYDRAULIC AND STRUCTURAL DESIGN OF THE BOTADOR EL ALUVION FOR THE CONTROL OF RAINFALL TIMES IN THE DISTRICT OF ASCOPE - LA LIBERTAD - PERU““. With the present work is projected to protect by flood to 290 Ha., Which belong to the inhabitants of the area, as well as protect the 6,763 inhabitants who reside in the city of Ascope. For this investigation, a topographic study of the botador El Aluvión was made in the section where there is a greater presence exposed to flood damage 2.65 km of its entire channel length and a weighted slope of 5.8 ‰ was used. A hydrological dimensioning was made to visualize the micro basin that affects the city of Ascope, which has an area of 181.30 Km2. The empirical method was used to determine its design flow rate, obtaining 18 m3 / s for a return period of 50 years. The study of the soils carried out allowed us to know that the material that makes up the botador El Aluvión was in its generality Arena Limo Arcillosa. In order to solve the problem, it was proposed to design the channeling and protection structures such as the rocky embankments placed along the main channel of the El Aluvión botador.
