This civil engineering thesis project is basically oriented to the area of transport, through which a traffic study will be developed in the intersections of greater vehicular chaos located in the district of Trujillo Metropolitan, this intersection is formed by the Avenues César Vallejo with José María Euguren, in where we find different factors that intervene in traffic congestion. Its general objective is to simulate using software and thus be able to contribute to the road solution to the main traffic problems that currently arise. An analysis will be made on the traffic situation through manual counts to determine the volumes of maximum demand and obtain data to perform the traffic study of the intersection. Using Vissim software, the mathematical simulation will be performed and results will be obtained from the current traffic situation, with these results you can see in detail the main problems that occur daily at this intersection. Finally, a road solution proposal will be proposed for the traffic problems of this intersection, in terms of road geometry, rearrangement of public transport; which will be simulated and presented to contribute to a correct traffic control in the evaluated intersection.
