The following research work was carried out in order to obtain the technical criteria to carry out the study of the undermining of the EL Inca bridge projected in the Chorobal river, located on the Chao - Buenavista highway in the province of Virú, with the objective of conducting studies of basic engineering (topography and soil mechanics) as well as the hydrological and hydraulic study, to estimate the scour depth of the Inca bridge project through a one-dimensional numerical simulation. We will establish and develop the foundations for the estimation of local scour, from the development of deterministic models, for the bridge the Inca made use of the shape of the abutments and pillars (rectangular) with a width of 2.00m, 90.00m. and particle sizes d50 = 15.61mm and determine to what extent the variation of the return times in the scour analysis affects, and then make a proposal for protection structures. The collection, recording and processing of data was carried out in order to carry out the one-dimensional hydraulic simulation, using as software instruments such as RIVER, ARC-GIS, HEC-RAS, among other complementary programs. Among the main conclusions we have that the design flow for a return period of 100 years is 243.77 m3 / s, and 664.37 m3 / s for a return period of 500 years, both obtained by statistical methods, from which obtained a general scour depth of 1.88 m, using the De Ll method. Lischt van-Lebediev and a depth of local scour in the right abutment of 7.41 m and in the left abutment of 7.93 m by the Hire method, as well as for the pillars of 5.89 m with the method of the Colorado State University (CSU) , reaching the conclusion of protecting the abutments with castles 20 m upstream and 20 m downstream, and for the pillars protecting the perimeter with castling, and in its effect to consider the depth of the reinforcement for the foundation of the substructure, in function to the depth of scour obtained by the one-dimensional numerical simulation with Hec-Ras.
