This study had as purpose to determinate the loss of the permanent first molars and the hygiene oral index on schoolchildren from 6 to 12 years of age in educational institution No. 80820 Víctor Larco. The study was retrospective, cross-sectional, descriptive and observational. The sample was conformed by a total number of 153 students of the educational institution in the year 2017, from first to sixth grade of primary school. For the first molar loss evaluation its was used an odontogram and the index of de hygiene oral was registared on the corresponding diagrams for the percentage and classification. For the analysis of the results, the chi square distribution (X 2 ) was used; with a level of significance of 5% such as frequency tables of one and double entry with their absolute and relative values, as well as statistical graphs. The results showed that there is a highly significant relationship between the loss of first molars and the oral hygiene index in educational institution No. 80820 Víctor Larco with one (p = 0.0000).By the way, it was observed that in the masculine sex there is greater loss than in the female sex, according to the age, it was observed that in the children of 6 to 8 years there is more loss than in the children of 9 to 12 years.
