Abstract: Objetivo: Demostrar si la edad mayor a 40 años, administración deficiente
de bioseguridad, el tipo de personal, el tiempo de servicio, el servicio de
atención son factores asociados a tuberculosis pulmonar activa en personal
sanitario de Hospital Belén de Trujillo.
Material y Métodos: Se llevó a cabo un estudio de tipo analítico,
observacional, seccional, transversal. La población de estudio estuvo
constituida por 86 trabajadores sanitarios según criterios de inclusión y
exclusión establecidos distribuidos en dos grupos: con tuberculosis activa o
sin ella.
Resultados: La edad mayor a 40 años es factor asociado a tuberculosis
activa en personal sanitario con un odds ratio de 3.2 el cual fue significativo
(p<0.05). La administración deficiente de bioseguridad es factor asociado a
tuberculosis activa en personal sanitario con un odds ratio de 3.4 el cual fue
significativo (p<0.05). El ser personal de enfermería es factor asociado a
tuberculosis activa en personal sanitario con un odds ratio de 3 el cual fue
significativo (p<0.05). La atención en el servicio de emergencia es factor
asociado a tuberculosis activa en personal sanitario con un odds ratio de 4.2
el cual fue significativo (p<0.05). El mayor tiempo de servicio es factor
asociado a tuberculosis activa en personal sanitario.
Conclusiones: La edad mayor a 40 años, la administración deficiente de
bioseguridad, el tipo de personal, el tiempo de servicio, el servicio de
atención son factores asociados a tuberculosis pulmonar activa en personal
sanitario de Hospital Belén de Trujillo.

The study population consisted of 86 health workers according to established inclusion and exclusion criteria, divided into two groups: with or without active tuberculosis.
