Abstract: OBJETIVO: Determinar en qué medida la drogadicción y el alcoholismo son factores asociados al abandono de la farmacoterapia antituberculosa en los pacientes atendidos en la Red Servicios de Salud Trujillo en el periodo del 2014 al 2016 MATERIAL Y MÉTODO: Se realizó un estudio observacional, analítico, de caso y controles, en 42 casos de tuberculosis que abandonaron el tratamiento antituberculosos y 79 casos que no lo abandonaron. RESULTADOS: El 16.7% de pacientes que abandonaron el tratamiento farmacológico antituberculoso y el 2.4% de pacientes que no abandonaron dicho tratamiento fueron drogadictos, encontrándose OR= 8.2 con IC 95% de 1.6 a 41.5 (p=0.006). También el 26.2% de pacientes que abandonaron el tratamiento farmacológico antituberculoso y 5.9% de pacientes que no abandonaron dicho tratamiento fueron alcohólicos, estableciéndose que el alcoholismo es un factor de riesgo para el abandono con del tratamiento antituberculosos, al obtenerse un OR= 5.6 con un intervalo de confianza al 95% de 1.8 a 17.5 CONCLUSIONES: La drogadicción y el alcoholismo se asocian como factores de riesgo del abandono de la farmacoterapia antituberculosa.

THE AIM: Determine in which measure the drug addiction and alcoholism are factors associated with the abandonment of anti-tuberculosis drug therapy in patients treated in the network services of health Trujillo in the period from 2014 to 2016 MATERIAL AND METHOD: An observational study was conducted, analytical, casecontrol, in 42 cases of tuberculosis that left the anti-TB treatment and 79 cases that do not forsake him. RESULTS: The 16.7% of patients that abandoned the anti-tuberculosis drug therapy and the 2.4% of patients who do not abandoned such treatment were drug addicts, found OR = 8.2 with IC 95% of 1.6 to 41.5 (p = 0.006). Also the 26.2% of patients that abandoned the anti-tuberculosis drug therapy and 5.9% of patients who do not abandoned such treatment were alcohol, stating that alcohol is a risk factor for abandonment with treatment TB, get an OR = 5.6 with a confidence interval at 95% of 1.8 to 17.5 CONCLUSIONS: Drug addiction and alcoholism is associated as a risk factor for the abandonment of the anti-tuberculosis drug therapy.
