The present research was oriented to establish how the new technologies favor the participation scheme of the Trujillo’s FM radios and generate new spaces for the production-consumption of messages. In addition, to determine the way in which the typologies and modes of participation of the listeners varied with the use of the technological sceneries available to the producers and programmers of the local stations. For the analysis, the local stations were classified according to their programming model and based on a diagnosis of the listener profile based on the use of the new technologies and the way in which those in charge of programming favor this process where the new profile is configured listeneruser. The methodology was quantitative with a structured survey for listeners of local radios, between 15 and 65 years of the province of Trujillo and the follow up to the programming of the local radios through a checklist, qualitative to make the approach to those in charge of the stations and observe the use of technologies. In the investigation determined that despite the high use of technological devices, it is not possible to generate a relationship between these tools and the programming of the Trujillo’s radio station, given a weak proposal of the producers who privilege a basic pattern of programming and participation, limiting their technology discourse to online radio and the social network facebook. The analysis concludes with a proposal to rethink the listener's typology, which can be used as a program management tool.
