The present project at the Engineering level called ““Calibration of Parameters of the Synthetic Unitary Hydrogram of Soil Conservation Service and Preparation of the Curved Number Map of the Viru River Basin““, despite the recent advances in science and technology, There is a hydrological model that simulates to perfection the complex processes involved in hydrology due to the presence of errors of different origin. Then it arises as a need for research in obtaining a program that shows more accurately the simulation of the basin to be studied. Various types of soil conditions (vegetative cover, slopes, etc.) are presented within the route. These conditions give particular characteristics to surface runoff, so much so that it ends up varying the flow and the time it takes for a particle of water to travel from the highest point to the lowest point. In the basin the flows of the tributaries that form the Virú river are unknown. Also, values of neighboring basins are not known. This means that the flow values generated are far from reality or often erroneous, therefore an estimate of the runoff volume resulting from the precipitation (direct runoff) will be made, the runoff distribution time will also be determined, including the flow of tip, it is very important to obtain values that are well calibrated. To perform a calibration process, you must have observed values in such a way that the values generated by means of a calculation or modeling can be used to determine exactly the results of the modeling. The relevance of this research is that through these results we will calibrate the concentration time in the type of soil that can be used for microwatersheds that are within these basins, so they can be extrapolated to neighboring basins. The beneficiaries will be the villagers and all the people involved in the prevention of risks because this will calculate better the resulting flows of the basin and itself farmers in the area, it should be stressed that it will also be great information for the ALA (local water association) ANA (National Water Association), SENAMHI and the Ministry of Agriculture.
