Factores sociodemográficos y su relación con el conocimiento, actitudes y práctica de la tenencia de canes en el distrito El Porvenir

Abstract

Con el fin de determinar la asociación entre los factores sociodemográficos (edad, nivel de instrucción y salario) y su relación con el conocimiento, actitudes y práctica de la tenencia de canes en el distrito El Porvenir Sector Central I se aplicó una encuesta, en los meses de enero y febrero de 2017 a los dueños de los perros. Se determinó como tamaño muestral 137 viviendas. De los 137 familias encuestadas, 32.1% tienen nivel de conocimiento bueno, 10.9% buena práctica y 54.7% actitud adecuada. El nivel de conocimiento está relacionado con el incremento de la edad, el nivel de instrucción del dueño del can y el nivel de ingresos. Del mismo modo, la buena práctica en relación al nivel de instrucción del dueño del can es estadísticamente significativa, sin embargo respecto a la edad y al salario no es significativo. Asimismo la actitud adecuada en relación a la edad, nivel de instrucción y salario es estadísticamente significativa. Los resultados obtenidos, permiten analizar comportamientos que se “deberían” saber, actitudes que se “deberían” pensar y prácticas que se “deberían” realizar, mediante el aprendizaje y capacitación para motivar la acción.

In order to determine the association between the factors social demographic and its relation with the knowledge, attitudes and practice of the tenure of Dogs in the distric El Porvenir Central Sector I a survey was applied in the months of January and February of 2017 to the Dog owners. It was determined as sample size 137 homes. Of the 137 families surveyed, 32.1% have a level of knowledge about the possession of dogs good, As for the practice on holding of canes, 10.9% good practice, and 34.0% adequate attitude. The level of knowledge is related to the increase of the age, the level of instruction of the owner of the can and the level of income. Similarly, good practice in relation to the level of instruction of the owner of the can is statistically significant, however with regard to age and salary is not significant. Likewise, the adequate attitude in relation to age, educational level and salary is statistically significant. The results obtained allow us to analyze behaviors that should be known, attitudes that should be “thought“ and practices that should be performed through learning and training to motivate action.
