confidencial del 95% OR>1.
Objetive: Determine the factors associated with induced abortion in university students attending the last year of their careers in all faculties at the Universidad Privada Antenor Orrego of Trujillo. Material and Method: An observational, transversal, prospective, analytical study with an analytical transversal design was carried out. The population study was conducted with 536 surveys of university students, 418 of whom had sexual intercourse’s and were divided into 2 groups, those with induced abortion: (n = 71), and those with no induced abortion (n = 347 ). Results: A multivariate analysis found that the factors associated with induced abortion were: Living alone OR 2.6 (95% CI 1.36-4.99), the age of early onset of sexual intercourse OR 0.591 (95% CI 0.480-0.727), having had 4 or more sexual partners OR 1.489 (95% CI 1.261-1.758) and not having used any contraceptive method in the first sexual relation OR 2.218 (95% CI 1.191-4.131). This assertion is given with certainty by having verified the requirements of being significant to the criteria independence test (p <0.01) and having a confidential interval of 95% OR> 1. Conclusions: The variables found as part of the predictive model for induced abortion were: living alone, not having used any contraceptives in the first intercourse, having 4 or more sexual partners and the early onset of sexual intercourse were mainly the factors most associated with induced abortion.
