Nivel de conocimiento sobre prevención en salud bucal en gestantes del Hospital Distrital Vista Alegre de Trujillo - 2017

Abstract

Objetivo: Determinar el nivel de conocimiento sobre prevención en salud bucal en gestantes del Hospital Distrital Vista Alegre de Trujillo- 2017.

Material y métodos: El estudio de tipo prospectivo, descriptivo, observacional y transversal, incluyo un total de 207 gestantes. Para la recolección de datos, cada gestante firmó un consentimiento informado y luego procedió a llenar una encuesta que constó de 22 preguntas, donde también se registró su edad y grado de instrucción.

Resultados: Se encontró que de las 207 gestantes, el 7.72% obtuvo un nivel de conocimiento sobre prevención en salud oral bueno, el 59.9% un nivel de conocimiento regular y el 32.36% un nivel de conocimiento malo. No se halló diferencia estadísticamente significativa entre edad y grado de instrucción.

Conclusión: El nivel de conocimiento sobre prevención en salud bucal en gestantes que acuden al Hospital Distrital Vista Alegre en el año 2017 es regular.

For data collection, each pregnant woman signed an informed consent and then proceeded to fill out a survey consisting of 22 questions, which also recorded their age and level of education.

Results: It was found that of the 207 pregnant women, 7.72% obtained a level of knowledge about oral health prevention, 59.9% had a regular level of knowledge and 32.36% had a poor level of knowledge. There was no statistically significant difference between age and educational level.

Conclusion: The level of knowledge about oral health prevention among pregnant women attending the Vista Alegre District Hospital in 2017 is regular.
