This research was conducted in order to determine the relationship between the level of knowledge and attitude of the mother of premature towards the mother kangaroo, Bethlehem Hospital of Trujillo method. The type of study was descriptive, correlational, cross type. The study sample consisted of 25 mothers of premature according to inclusion and exclusion criteria established; The variables investigated were the level of knowledge and attitude of early breast respect to breast kangaroo, instruments used were: 1st questionnaire on knowledge level of the mother of premature towards breast kangaroo, and the 2nd Questionnaire Level attitude towards the mother of premature breast kangaroo method Trujillo Bethlehem Hospital. The conclusions were, the level of knowledge of breast kangaroo was high in 72% of mothers; medium in 12% and under 16%. The attitude of the mother of premature towards the mother kangaroo was positive in 80% of cases and negative in 20%. So there is a highly significant relationship between the level of knowledge and attitude of the mother of prematurity, towards the breast kangaroo with P = 0.00 <0.05, the greater the relationship of knowledge of the mother of premature towards breast method kangaroo, his attitude is positive.
