The objective of this research was to establish the connection between job satisfaction and professional performance of teachers who worked in the Language Center of the Cesar Vallejo University in the city of Trujillo in 2013. The research is correlational because the aim is to measure the relation between two variables. This investigation was done with a target population of 50 teachers of the Language Center of the Cesar Vallejo University. Since the target population was small, the sample was the same as the population; in other words, all the 50 teachers were considered in this investigation. In order to do this research, two surveys were applied, one for each variable. To measure the level of job satisfaction, a survey was applied to the teachers. To measure the level of professional performance, a survey was applied to the students of the same teachers. For each teacher, one of his courses was chosen. The surveys were applied simultaneously to the teacher and to all the students of the same course. It was emphasized that the surveys were anonymous. Once that the level of each variable was determined; the Chi-squared test was used to establish the connection between them. It was demonstrated that job satisfaction and professional performance are significantly related. The research allowed to say that teachers were from regularly satisfied to very satisfied; the research also established that their professional performance was from very good to good.
