The present study was aimed at determining whether the application of theater games decreases the level of stress in the Elderly users EsSalud centers of the province of Trujillo in 2014. For this purpose mentioned intentionally selected 30 users, with which the experimental and control group was formed by administering the experimental group educational strategy theater games to test their effect on stress reduction, made during 02 months. This research is quantitative and applied quasiexperimental design with two intact groups, with pre and post type. Data collection was obtained by applying a standardized test adapted and EAE-A (Stress Assessment Scale in the elderly). After making the hypothesis test a significant difference was established in the averages of the experimental group versus control group, proving the positive impact of the workshop, establishing that on completion of the implementation of theater games users of the experimental group they decreased by 80% , reaching levels under stress, unlike the control it remained with 13.33% in the same level group; which they were corroborated by those obtained higher averages and the non-parametric Mann Whitney U test, which showed a significant difference in the experimental group contrasted the 95% confidence level.
