Tooth agenesis is the most common anomaly of craniofacial development. The present study was to determinate the prevalence of third molars agenesis in patients 16 to 23 years old in the Diagnostic Center Radiographic images in Trujillo District during January-June 2015. The retrospective, transversal, descriptive and observational study was conducted at the Center for Diagnostic Radiographic lmages and included a total of 134 panoramic radiographs. To collect data, each radiograph was recorded with code patient, agenesis of third molar, sex, age and quadrant. The results show that agenesis of 3° molar in the present a 55.2% (74 panoramic radiographs), 53.5% in women (46 panoramic radiographs) in men and 58.3% (28 panoramic radiographs), in terms of age studied 16 to 23, were divided into two groups for analysis intervals, the first group (16 -19 years), who presented agenesis 3° molar with 48.9% (44 panoramic radiographs) and the second group (20 -23 years) who presented agenesis 3° molar with 68.2% (30 panoramic radiographs) and finally according quadrants (I- II-III-IV) were analyzed individually, with the quadrant l, he presented agenesis of 3 ° molar with 26.9% (36 panoramic radiographs), the II quadrant presented agenesis of the 3° molar with 30.6% (41 panoramic radiographs), quadrant lll presented agenesis 3° molar with 27.6% (37 panoramic radiographs) and quadrant IV presented agenesis 3° molar with 24.6% (33 panoramic radiographs) It concluded that there is prevalence of 55.25% of agenesis of 3° molar in patients 16 to 23 years old.
