The purpose of this study was to determine the perception a mongmothers and children with regard to dental malocclusions. The prospective, transversal, comparative and observational study was carried out at the Educational Institution ““80819 -Francisco Lizarzaburu““. A total of 150 students aged 9-18 years were included with their respective mothers, who were selected according to the established criteria. Prior to the signing and acceptance of informed consent by the mother and informed consent of the school, the photograph was taken in frontal occlusion of the malocclusion of the school. Subsequently, the photograph attached to the EVA (Visual Analogue Scale) questionnaire 0-10 mm was given to evaluate the perception between both groups. We collected the information that was processed by statistical tables using the Wilcoxon Sign-rank Test and the Mann-Whitney U-Test for the comparison of the perception between mothers and children regarding dental malocclusions, with a significance level of 5 %. The results indicate that there is a difference between the mothers 'perception of their children's perception of their dental malocclusion, the mother's perception shows a medium to more attractive degree, since according to age there is no difference definite regarding how they perceive the malocclusion of their children, in the same way in schoolchildren according to sex and age there is no very definite difference in how they perceive their malocclusion.
