This study aims to determine whether there temporomandibular dysfunction by age and frequency of chewed coca leaf, in farmers founded the plot San Luis, District of Tambo, Province Gran Chimu - La Libertad 2016. MATERIALS AND METHODS: This cross-sectional study, descriptive and relational evaluated a total of 141 subjects chewing coca leaf province of Tambo, District Gran Chimu, through Helkimo test. Noting the degree of temporomandibular dysfunction presented by age and frequency of chewing. RESULTS: The results were that 9.22% of all chewier person had no temporomandibular dysfunction and 43% had moderate dysfunction. And according to the age between 18 to 30 years there was a 53.9% mild dysfunction, between 31 to 50 years there was 43.9% of moderate dysfunction, and existed between 50 to 60 years 60.6% moderate dysfunction. On the other hand according to the frequency corresponding to the low frequency chewing he threw that 60% had mild dysfunction, an average frequency presented a 66.7% with mild dysfunction, and with respect to the high frequency 56.9% had moderate dysfunction.
