Determinación del índice de integridad estructural y condición operacional superficial de las vias PE1N N y PI-103; aplicando la metodología PCI, Sullana Piura

Abstract

Esta metodología fue desarrollado entre los años 1 974 a 1976 por el Cuerpo de Ingeniería de la Fuerza Aérea de los Estados Unidos y ejecutado por los Ingenieros Sres. Mohamed Y. Shahin, Michael L. Darter y Starr D. Kohn, con el objeto de obtener un Sistema de Administración del Mantenimiento de Pavimentos Rígidos y Flexibles a través del PCI. y en la actualidad se encuentra normada. (ASTM, 2004). Como antecedente podemos mencionar que esta metodología se ha aplicado en la ciudad de Piura, con el título “Cálculo del índice de Condición aplicado en el Pavimento flexible en la av. Las Palmeras de Piura.”(2008); también en la localidad de Huancabamba, denominándose “Determinación y Evaluación del Nivel de Incidencia de las Patologías del Concreto en Los Pavimentos Rígidos de La Provincia de Huancabamba, Departamento de Piura “(2010). Preservar el patrimonio vial existente en la Ciudad de Sullana, para sus habitantes es de suma importancia y más que eso, es responsabilidad de los Ingenieros brindar métodos que permitan cumplir con esta misión; (MPS, 2008) es de esta manera que la presente investigación, pretende mostrar un método de cuantificación de los deterioros (AASHTO, 1993), aplicando la metodología PCI ,lo que nos permitirá conocer y aplicar las técnicas de evaluación que esta usa; para así determinar el índice de integridad estructural y condición operacional de las vías antes mencionadas. En consecuencia analizamos si la aplicación de la metodología PCI; en los pavimentos asfalticos de las vías antes mencionadas de la provincia de Sullana, nos permitirá la determinación de manera objetiva, del Índice de Integridad Estructural y Condición Operacional Superficial de estas. De acuerdo a los resultados obtenidos en nuestra investigación concluimos que; la metodología propuesta nos permitio determinar de manera objetiva el Índice de Integridad Estructural y Condición Operacional Superficial de las vias en estudio , lo cual nos dira como invertir acertadamente en el mantenimiento de las vías de acuerdo a sus necesidades.

Preserve the existing road assets in the city of Sullana, for its inhabitants it is paramount and that it is the responsibility of engineers to provide methods to accomplish this mission; (MPS, 2008) is in this way that the present investigation aims to show a method of quantifying the damage (AASHTO, 1993), applying PCI methodology, allowing us to understand and apply evaluation techniques it uses; to determine the rate of structural integrity and operational condition of the above pathways. Consequently analyze whether the application of the PCI methodology; in asphalt pavements of the above routes of the province of Sullana, allow us to determine objectively, Structural Integrity Index and Operational Condition Surface these. According to the results of our investigation we conclude that; the proposed methodology allowed us to objectively determine the Index of Structural Integrity and Operational Surface Condition of the roads under consideration, which tell us how to invest correctly in the maintenance of roads according to their needs.
