This research has as objective conducting a ““maintenance analysis and assessment for road maintenance of the surface layer of the interdistrict via Ascope - Casa Grande, using the HDM-4 model““. This research has been made in the Province of Ascope. Specifically in the way Ascope - Casa Grande, because this route has the characteristics and technical conditions to be studied as it relates to the surface layer. This research is a descriptive study, All field records have been recorded in the forms of Paver system, The data has been obtained on the basis of existing flaws in the way, assessing the state of it and taking into account criteria such as roughness index (IRI), which yielded an inventory of the current state of the track. The counting annual average daily traffic of vehicles was also used. With all this information an analysis of the maintenance of the rolling layer was made using the HDM-4 program for assessing the functional and structural characterization of the pavements. In summary, a model of road maintenance was developed using the HDM-4 program, which allows to be applied to other roads of the Ascope province to preserve the surface layer. This model of Analysis and Evaluation of Road Maintenance applying the HDM-4 program will allow using the database to guide institutions through its officers and authorities to manage the maintenance and service of roads, increasing safety and comfort of users
