Nivel de conocimiento sobre riesgos de la radiación en estudiantes del quinto al noveno ciclo de la Escuela Profesional de Estomatología de UPAO Trujillo, 2016

Abstract

El objetivo del presente trabajo de investigación fue determinar el nivel de conocimiento sobre riesgos de la radiación en estudiantes del quinto al noveno ciclo de la Clínica Estomatológica de la universidad privada Antenor Orrego de Trujillo, 2016

Se seleccionó a un grupo de 157 estudiantes de estomatología de UPAO (dentro de este grupo se incluyeron estudiantes del 5to al 9no ciclo) en el año 2016, estudiantes de ambos sexos y edades dist intas (divididos en grupos ≤21 y >21) en la ciudad de Trujillo. Para ello, se aplicaron encuestas mediante un cuestionario redactado con preguntas sobre la radiología y los riesgos radiológicos a los que se somete el estudiante de estomatología a lo largo de su carrera para poder evaluar su nivel de conocimiento sobre el tema, este cuestionario fue sometido también al juicio de expertos.

Los resultados mostraron que el nivel de conocimiento sobre los riesgos radiológicos en los estudiantes de estomatología de UPAO, Trujillo 2016 fue bueno y no hay mucha varianza entre las edades (en los estudiantes con edades ≤21 = 81.4% bueno y los estudiantes >21 = 82.1%), ciclos y géneros (masculino = 81.0% bueno y femenino = 81.7%).

The objective of this research work was to determine the level of knowledge about radiation risks in the fifth to the ninth cycle of the stomatological clinic of the private University Antenor Orrego de Trujillo, 2016.

Selected a group of 157 students of Stomatology of UPAO (within this group included students from the 5th to the 9th cycle) in 2016, students of both sexes and different ages (divided into groups ≤21 and > 21) in the cit y of Trujillo. To do this, applied surveys using a questionnaire drawn up with questions about radiology and radiological risks that dentistry student is subjected throughout his career to assess your level of knowledge on the subject, this questionnaire was submitted to the judgement of experts.

Results showed that the level of knowledge about radiological risks on the students of Stomatology of UPAO Trujillo 2016 was good and there is much variance between the ages (students with ages ≤21 = 81.4% good and students > 21 = 82.1%), cycles and gender (male = 81.0% good and female = 81.7%).
