This research was conducted in order to evaluate the compatibility between the asphalt cement PEN 120/150 improved with an adhesion promoter and granite stone aggregate type and its effect on the quality and strength of the asphalt hot mix, determining the compatibility of granite aggregate with the asphalt cement type, were performed with laboratory tests characterizing the physical and mechanical materials used according to ASTM standards and AASHTO properties; adherence to present the agregado and asphalt cement, according to laboratory results was poor so the additive Quimibond 3000, material to be used in different test samples and different doses I provide excellent adhesion results was used, according to behavior they are presenting samples, the best sample was selected, that resembled the actual behavior (equipment already on site). The asphalt mix design was developed based on the method of Marshall test briquettes were used with different proportions of added samples and asphalt cement was possible to determine the optimal ratio of the aggregate and asphalt cement. The results show significant improvements in the properties of the asphalt mix which led to the conclusion that the incorporation of the additive qQuimibond 3000 in the asphaltic mix helped increase their physical-mechanical the surface layer properties to reduce damage and road damage caused by traffic loads.
