In order to determine the relationship between sexual satisfaction and infidelity in patients from 20 to 40 years old treated at the Laredo District Hospital during 2013, a descriptive and cross-sectional study was performed; with a sample conformed by 291 either male or female patients aged from 20 to 40 years old. To collect the information in this investigation, two semi- structured files (a survey and a questionnaire) were used. The data analysis was using the Chi-square test, concluding: 39.2% were sexually satisfied, 28.9% barely satisfied and 32.0% considered themselves unsatisfied. Regarding the level of sexual satisfaction according to sex, there was a minimum difference between male and female for each level of satisfaction. It was found that there was no statistically significant difference between males and females (p> 0.05). The most common type of infidelity was the sexual one, with 68.5%. Concerning to infidelity according to sex it was found that there are significant differences between male and female (p <0.01), being male sex the predominant infidels and respect to the level of sexual satisfaction versus infidelity it was found an statistically significant relationship (p <0.01).
