Determine risk factors associated to íleo and intestinal obstruction after conventional gynecologic surgery at Regional Docente de Trujillo Hospital Methods: Was conduced a analitic, observational, retrospective, cases and controls investigation. The study population was conformed for 189 patients inclusion and exclusion criteries distributed in 2 groups: with or without íleo and intestinal obstruction. Results: The estadistical analysis about the variables in study like risk factors were: age > 65 years (OR: 2.06; p<0.05), previous gynecologic surgery (OR: 7.17; p<0.05), previous abdominal surgery (OR: 6.91; p<0.05), intraoperatory complication (OR: 5.69; p<0.05), postmenopausic status (OR: 1.64; p>0.05), tabaquism (OR: 2.03; p>0.05), blood transfusion requirement (OR: 4.16; p>0.05). Conclusions: Age > 65 years, previous gynecologic surgery, previous abdominal surgery and intraoperatory complication are risk factors associated to íleo and intestinal obstruction after conventional gynecologic surgery. Postmenopausic status, tabaquism and blood transfusion requirement are not risk factors associated to ileo and intestinal obstruction after conventional gynecologic surgery.
