The present research was to determine the prevalence of dental caries in the mandibular first permanent molar in children 6-12 years of age who presented to the district health centers of the future in 2015 The study was cross-sectional, descriptive and observational cut included a total of 175 children who met the criteria for inclusion and exclusion, which underwent intraoral examinations. It was found that a total of 108 women, 101 (93.5%) had dental caries in the part 36 while the part 46 presented in 106 (98.1%) of them. In relation to men of 67, 62 (92.5%) of them they had cavities in the workpiece 36 and 61 (61%) presented in the piece 46. By age, both in the part 36 and 46, it was found that between the ages of 6-7 years had less presence of caries compared to 8 to 12 years given the increased presence of dental caries. In depth of dental caries in the parts 36 and 46, at the discretion ICDIAS, it was determined that the indicators 2 and 4 are the most prevalent in the first permanent mandibular molars. Concluding, no statistically significant difference between the prevalence of caries and variables gender, age and depth of the lesion.
